Drip Irrigation for Foundation Plants

Drip Irrigation for Foundation Plants

Drip Irrigation uses small water emitters placed at the base of each plant, tree, or shrub to deliver exacting amounts of water.  Each emitter(s) is set for the specific plant, and it’s water needs.  All emitters are tied in to a water timer, which runs automatically.  Drip irrigation systems are fully configurable, and can save upwards of  80% of water over standard sprinkler systems. These low flow systems require less upkeep and repair costs than sprinkler systems–and can be left outside over winter without damage occurring.

In this landscape, the drip irrigation system was covered with a natural, biodegradable weed barrier, and then mulched.
