Foundation Repointing

Foundation Repointing

A Medford homeowner removed a false wall in their basement, and realized that the foundation had many areas of loose mortar. Most likely the wall was constructed to help insulate against the cold air flowing through this wall. The was wall’s old mortar was removed and repaired with new mortar in a process called repointing. A repointed wall ensures that the foundation remains solid for years to come.
