Permaculture, Edible, & Native Plantings

Permaculture Landscape Design.  Using a majority of edible plantings, including fruits, nuts, vegetables, and herbs, and permaculture principles  any piece of land can become a productive area for human and animal life.  We can incorporate raised beds, containers for small areas, or produce a plan for a full landscape of edible delights.

Permaculture Landscape Install & Maintenance. A complex edible landscape can be difficult to install and maintain for a homeowner.  Our installation and maintenance services can take care of all the dirty work, to ensure your landscape design is planted and taken care of for your enjoyment.

Native Plantings. Proper plant usage allows for better natural relationships amongst the birds, insects, and microorganisms that are native to this region.  These organisms have spent millennia developing very specific relationships with one another, and cannot be replaced by non-native species.

Lawn Alternatives.  Replacing an existing lawn with various groundcover, and low growing herb can make for an attractive alternative to plain, non-productive lawns.  These types of plantings can also use less water in the long-term, making it a wise choice for long term summer drought conditions.

Composting.  A compost bin is the best and most cost effective way to gain fertile soil.  Bins can be small or large, but we can work to find a solution that works best for you, and maintain it if needed.

Soil Assessment.  Soil Testing through an extension program is one avenue of knowledge.  Soil assessment looks at bacterial, fungal, and other concentrations of microorganisms in the soil, that create a productive and beneficial environment for a local ecosystem.
